Fundraising: A Walk/Run to Remember

All walkers and runners from the tri-county area remember those in their lives who have died. A family-friendly event, “A Walk/Run to Remember” gives the community an opportunity to share memories and tell stories about deceased loved ones. All proceeds raised benefit The Garden as we support bereaved children and teens.

We are committed to making our program accessible to everyone. We rely on the generosity of our volunteers and the broader community to keep it that way.

Bricks to Remember -

We are delighted to announce that the beautiful perennial Memory Garden at the front entrance of the Y is thriving. The garden has been lovingly cared for and new plantings have been added each year by our participating families.

Our final "Brick of Remembrance" order has been placed. Thank you for helping us to complete our brick border around the garden. Your engraved personal messages on the bricks honor or commemorate a special person or event, and will remain a permanent part of the Memory Garden.

Your brick orders help The Garden to provide ongoing support groups, at no cost, for grieving children, teens, and their adult caregivers. Every dollar that we raised through our "Bricks of Remembrance" campaign will go directly into serving our families. Literally and otherwise, your brick will help strengthen the foundation of our program.

A special thanks to Larkin Tree Service for our "Bricks of Remembrance" installation.

Educational Video-

The Garden has a 10-minute educational video available to share with your group or organization that will offer insight into the important service that The Garden: A Center for Grieving Children and Teens offers to the community.

Annual Appeal -

Every winter, The Garden holds it’s Annual Appeal. At this time, the community is invited to make a tax-deductible donation in support of the services at The Garden. Every dollar received goes directly to fund programs that serve grieving families. Please join the many generous people who have contributed to The Garden by sending in your donation today. You are invited to make this donation in honor or memory of someone special to you.
