Teen Program

The high school age Teen Group meets regularly to provide support to those who have experienced a significant loss--death of a mother, father, sister, brother or close friend. Our group typically meets weekly for twelve weeks at the Hampshire Regional YMCA from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

At this time, our group is looking for participants. If you, or someone you know, is interested in participating please have them call us or send an email. The goal of the group is to create a community where young people who are grieving can feel safe to talk about a difficult topic with others who understand what they are going through.

At The Garden, we know how important it is to not feel all alone, especially after the death of someone special. Meetings include rituals around loss, team-building activities, discussion and laughter. Keeping a connection with the person who died is encouraged. Relationships are often cultivated within the group and continue to thrive outside of our sessions together.

This is a unique group of teenagers who are ready to share their experiences in hopes of making the integration of their loss easier as well as helping and supporting their peers.
